Yoga with a conscience
Yoga and mindfulness have become big business in Sydney, pricing it well out of reach of those who need it most.
COMMUNE.Yoga by donation aims to increase access and improve the health and wellbeing of our neighbourhood through community activated yoga, meditation and special wellness events.
Your contribution will help to provide teachers, mats and spaces for all people regardless of their economic situation, especially those struggling with depression, anxiety and PTSD in our community.
COMMUNE Yoga by Donation currently offer three classes per week on Monday & Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings. The classes are for all skill levels, offering a great introduction to yoga for most whilst introducing challenging poses for more advanced students. All our classes are taught by highly trained teachers who have chosen COMMUNE Yoga as their way of giving back to their community.
Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time.
Ideal for beginners Hatha refers to any practice that combines poses, or asanas, with breathing techniques, or pranayamas.
This fairly fast-paced style, sometimes called power yoga, requires you to move continuously throughout the class.
