Yoga with a conscience

Yoga and meditation have become big business in Sydney, pricing it well out of reach of those who need it most.

COMMUNE.Yoga by donation aims to increase access and improve the health and wellbeing of our neighbourhood through community activated yoga, meditation and special wellness events.

Your contribution will help to provide teachers, mats and spaces for all people regardless of their economic situation, especially those struggling with depression, anxiety and PTSD in our community.

 

classes

COMMUNE Yoga by Donation currently offer three classes per week on Monday & Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings. The classes are for all skill levels, offering a great introduction to yoga for most whilst introducing challenging poses for more advanced students. All classes are taught by highly trained certified teachers who have chosen COMMUNE.Yoga as their way of giving back to their community.

BOOKINGS: No need to book in, just show up 10 minutes before class starts.
MAT HIRE: We also have new Lululemon eco-karma yoga mats for $5 hire.
WHAT TO WEAR: Something comfortable and warm (trackies will do).
DONATIONS: Suggested donation is $15. We accept cash and EFTPOS.

Join Laura for a fun, energetic flow class to some funky beats to kick off the weekend!

NEW! Meditation Tuesdays
7PM-8PM

Join us for some chilled out down time alongside The indigo project. You will get the chance to delve deep into mindfulness exercises, zen out in a couple short meditations and learn from the ever so lovely Tristan about how to use meditation to live a better life. Beginners encouraged!

MONDAY YIN
7pm-8pm

Beginners

Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga with stretching poses that are held for long periods of time. A great start to the week.

wednesday hatha
7pm-8pm
INTERMEDIATE

Hatha classes are a good place to perfect beginners' poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga.

friday FLOW
6.30AM-7.30AM
ADVANCED

Slightly more advanced, this fast-paced style often called "power yoga", requires you to move continuously between poses.
